About This Contest:
ABOUT THIS CONTEST Categories for BiTHouse Pitch® Entries are as follows:

YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS (18 and younger)

EARLY STAGE ENTREPRENEURS (developed a product/service but haven't started to sell it)

ENTREPRENEURS (have started to sell their product/service).

We are looking for disruptive web/mobile ventures, and device companies that can be scaled and aligned with entities which can aid with leapfrogging their success. The BiTHouse Pitch® Competition allows for:

1. Nine African American entrepreneurs in attendance of SXSW to make a live 3-Minute Pitch of their innovative ventures. Companies will be assessed as to the viability of their ventures by legal professionals, business leaders, academics, investors, and engineers. COACHING, MENTORSHIP and FEEDBACK will be provided before and after to better prepare you, your idea, and your presentation of that idea. Winners of the live pitch contest will receive meetings with VCs, a spot in Black Enterprise's Elevator Pitch Contest, and 2 registrations to Black Enterprise's Entrepreneurs Conference http://www.blackenterprise.com/ec) May 15 - May 18 at the Columbus Convention Center.

2. African American Entrepreneurs in attendance of SXSW to record and upload a 1 minute video pitch and distribute amongst their social networks for voting until April 15, 2013, 12 PM PST for a chance to win one of our prizes.

3. African American Entrepreneurs not in attendance of SXSW to upload a 1 minute video pitch and distribute amongst their social networks for voting until April 15, 2013, 12 PM PST for a chance to win one of our prizes.

Topics to consider addressing during your 1 minute video pitch: 1.Who is on your management team? 2.What products and services can/do you offer? 3.Why is your technology product innovative and disruptive? 4.Who is your target market? 5.How can you scale your idea and make money? 6.What strategic alliances can you envision?

VC Meetings + A Chance to win $10,000 from BE + BiTHouse Fame - approximate value $25,000

- One winner will receive a meeting with Ronny Conway a partner at Andreesson Horowitz.

- One winner will receive a finalist spot in Black Enterprise’s Elevator Pitch Contest (chance to win $10,000) and two registrations to the Entrepreneurs Conference May 15-18.

- All winners will receive a full featured website from Strikingly for one year (winner from each pitch category will receive this).

Rules and Requirements:
Who Can Enter the BiTHouse Pitch® Competition?

- African American entrepreneurs

- Any early-stage venture from around the world that hasn't received more than $500,000 USD in funding

- Business leaders whose companies are innovative, disruptive and scalable

- Entrepreneurs can be present to pitch their ideas on March 10, 2013 in Austin, Texas and attending SXSW

How to Enter:

- Contestants must register for BiTHouse Pitch® by visiting:

- Contestants must upload their executive summary by visiting: http://www.bithousepitch.com or email to: jewell@bithousepitch.com.

- Contestants can record and upload their videos @BiTHouse during SXSW, or submit their video via Qukku until March 31, 2013 by 5pm PST.

- Contestants can share their video on all their social networks and obtain as many votes as possible until April 15, 2013.
