About This Contest:
This is the inaugural year of MD Anderson’s Summer Experience. We have had internships in the past, but this year we have brought a pilot group of students together from a variety of backgrounds and across many departments to socialize and learn about research in cancer care. Every student’s time here will be different, but the goal of the Summer Experience is to provide each student an engaging and intellectually stimulating few weeks during which they will learn more about careers in biomedical research and what MD Anderson Cancer Center is doing to lessen the burden of cancer worldwide.

As part of our program, we are asking our select group of students to make a short video – around three minutes long, which captures what has been special about their Summer Experience. Be creative, be funny, be instructive, be lighthearted – please don’t include any patients or patient information. We want to know what happened during your summer and what made an impact on you for the future.

After the competition, some videos will be posted on the Summer Experience webpage and Facebook page.

Prizes:
Grand Prize – For the most creative and thoughtful video as determined by MD Anderson faculty - $250

People’s Choice Prize – For the video with the most overall votes from friends, family, students and faculty - $250

Runner Up – Lunch with a faculty member in your field of interest.

Second Runner Up – Observation experience in your area of interest.

Total Prizes:

$500.00 + High five
Rules and Requirements:
1. Do not include any patients or patient information in your video.

4. Only include people in your videos we can obtain permission from to use the video later.
